What Can I expect from my first visit?
We offer wellness visit, one hour and two-hour appointments for ages 12-seniors. Before the appointment, our practitioner would have reviewed your labs from other providers and the comprehensive intake form. During the appointment, she will review your history, take more detailed questions take appropriate time to listen, and develop a personal tailored plan that will include the proper testing, assessment, and evaluation of all areas of your health and order medications if needed, herbals if needed and referrals if necessary. If needed your visit might require suggest lab work or treatments.
All new patients will be given paperwork to complete prior to their initial visit. It is your responsibility to return your completed paperwork 48 hours in advance prior to your appointment. Our staff spends time reviewing this prior to your visit to give you the best possible care. What payment options does MIH accept?
MIH offers Credit Card, PayPal, and Venmo payment options. To offer this our scheduling system requires full payment upfront. Our system does not store any payment details for your security and ours.
Our cancellation policy is 48-hours in advance of appointments and is subject to full payment with no notification. If your paperwork is not in our hands prior to an appointment, our office reserves the right to reschedule your appointment.
MIH does not accept any Insurance Programs and are a cash only business. We do not accept insurance because most program do not cover integrative and functional services. Our office can provide you a super-bill to help with your insurance claim.
Questions after your visit
You will be allowed one follow-up email after this visit to address any questions regarding your consult symptoms or proposed health plan. This must be done within the first 30 days of your visit. Any new symptoms or additional questions will require a follow-up consult visit. Your practitioner will discuss during your visit if there is additional need to follow up.
If lab work is requested during your visits, MIH will work with you to schedule your tests. When the test results come back, you will be asked to set up an additional visit to discuss the results and any changes to your treatment plan.
Patients are expected to follow-up on the treatment plan as per as recommended on their last visit. If a patient does not have a visit within 12 months of their last visit, they will be treated as a new patient.
Should I keep my appointment if ill?
MIH is a small specialized clinic that supports a wide variety of patients, for the safety of our patients, the staff, and others please do not go the office if ill. Depending on your reason for your visit, we could consider a remote or Telehealth visit.
Our office follows Pandemic / COVID-19 Colorado rules and regulations, we ask that you abide by them. If you recently tested positive or have symptoms then please cancel this appointment. If you are looking to be treated post-pandemic / COVID-19 for ongoing symptoms, please contact our office on possible options.
MIH is not a primary care office and if your illness requires immediate or concerning conditions please call your primary care practitioner, call 911, or go to your local emergency room. In general, our office hours are Monday through Thursday during normal business hours.

Our provider has over 30 years ‘experience in both Conventional and Functional Medicine. She provides practical, experienced, and evidenced based guidance. Providing the tools and resources to effectively tailor a personalized treatment plan and protocol.
Why is finding the root causes of your illness important?
Many factors can prevent proper healing and impact enhancing the quality of your life. We find the deficiencies and blockages through interview and Functional Medicine testing (saliva, urine, blood, stool, etc.).
Can you get this testing through your Primary Care Provider?
Most conventional insurances will not cover extensive Functional Medicine testing but can be covered by your FSA or HSA. We will provide a superbill for you to send to your insurance provider. In most cases, insurance will cover lab work.
I am having trouble figuring out what caused my health issues? What testing and modalities do you offer?
Hormones, thyroid, adrenal, nutrition and food sensitivity, GI health (SIBO)and the microbiome, environmental toxins, mold toxins, Lyme disease, Immune function, micronutrient testing, and anti-aging.
Experience does matter and MIH providers have over 30+ years of combined experience. As a new patient, you will be required to fill out an extensive intake form which we take time to read in advance to better understand you as an individual. A majority of our patients have been to 3-5 other providers before they found us as our reputation grows.
What other treatments do you offer?
Bioidentical hormones, desiccated thyroid, weight loss, herbal therapy, low dose immunotherapy, peptide therapy, homeopathy, prescriptions nutrition, multiple deliveries of Ozone therapy (nasal, rectal, vaginal and intravenous).

Do you refer and work with other specialists?
Yes, we have referral partners such as trauma therapists, neurofeedback, craniosacral, chiropractic, registered nutritionists and bio dentists.
Do you offer Telehealth appointments?
Yes, we offer in-state telehealth only. I am not licensed in other states. However, we require a Bi-annual in-office visit if getting refills on all scheduled drugs such as testosterone, ketamine, antianxiety agents, and cough medicine with codeine.
Do you treat Covid and Post-Covid-19 syndrome symptoms?
Every Post Covid or pandemic symptoms may be different and so will the treatment. We manage symptoms with various treatment modalities which include supplements, herbs, pharmaceuticals, and medications if required.
Many times, underlying symptoms can be triggered in a pandemic, at MIH we work to understand you as an individual.
How often will I need appointments?
That all depends on the complexity of your illness. In most instances we require an initial follow up to review labs and establish a treatment protocol. Additional follow up appointments will vary contingent on treatment outcomes.
How should I order supplements recommended by my practitioner?
We work with multiple high-end dispensary’s such as Full script and Whole Scripts and for homeopathic Des Bio, Helios and Hannemann
What are your fees?
Fees are listed under Schedule Appointment, where you can also schedule your visits with us!
If trying to book an appointment with an HSA card, please call us to book as HSA’s don’t work with our online scheduler.
